Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Location: Akron, Colorado
Setting: Long-Term Care / Assisted Living
Schedule
- Approximately 48 hours per week
- Variable Day Shifts (8-hour & 12-hour shifts)
- Shift Timings: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM and 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate, hands-on care in a long-term care and assisted living environment. The CNA will support residents with daily activities while assisting the nursing team in maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable care setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding
- Monitor and record vital signs; report any changes to nursing staff
- Assist with resident mobility, transfers, and positioning
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient care areas
- Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs
- Accurately document care in accordance with facility guidelines
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
- Follow infection control and safety protocols
Required Qualifications
- Active Colorado CNA license (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred)
- Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living preferred
- Ability to work flexible day shifts (8-hour and 12-hour shifts)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
