Position: RN – Nurse Educator (Contract)
Location: Brooklyn, NY 11206
Duration: 18 Weeks
Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Compensation:
- Local Pay: $75 – $78/hour
- Travel Pay: $90 – $95/hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced RN – Nurse Educator to support inpatient Maternal Child Health (MCH) services. This role involves providing clinical education and staff support across multiple units, including Labor & Delivery, NICU, Postpartum, and Pediatrics. The ideal candidate will have strong Labor & Delivery experience and a passion for education and staff development.
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical education and training across MCH units (L&D, NICU, MBU, Pediatrics)
- Support nursing staff with onboarding, competencies, and ongoing education
- Develop and deliver educational materials and training programs
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure best practices and compliance
- Act as a clinical resource for staff and assist with skill development
- Promote quality patient care through evidence-based education
Required Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience – required
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience – required
Education:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited program
- Master’s in Education (preferred)
Licensure & Certifications:
- Active New York State RN License
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA required
