Schedule: 5 Days/Week | 37.5 Hours/Week
Shift: Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) to support a Med/Surg ICU team. This role is responsible for delivering specialized care for patients with complex wounds, ostomies, and continence-related conditions. The ideal candidate will utilize evidence-based practices to enhance healing outcomes while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive wound, ostomy, and continence assessments
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide advanced wound care treatments and dressing changes
- Monitor healing progress and adjust care plans as needed
- Educate patients, families, and staff on wound care management and prevention
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
- Ensure adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited program
- Active New York State RN License
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
- Experience in wound care and colostomy care
Required Certifications (Any One)
- Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (CWOCN)
- Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON)
- Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN)
- Certified Wound Specialist (CWS)
- Wound Care Certified (WCC)
