Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro ICU
Location: Columbia, SC 29203
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift & Schedule:
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- 3x12-hour shifts per week (37.5 hours/week)
- Weekend coverage as required
- Floating required within the health system
Job Summary:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a fast-paced Neuro ICU environment. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care experience and be skilled in managing high-acuity neurological patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized care for Neuro ICU patients
- Monitor and manage patients with EVDs and lumbar drains
- Care for patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH)
- Perform NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) assessments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Float to other units within competency as required
Requirements:
- Active RN license
- Strong Neuro ICU experience required
- Experience with EVDs, lumbar drains, and SAH patients
- NIHSS certification
- Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience
- Willingness to float within the health system
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Strong critical thinking and adaptability
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
