Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg
Location: Elmhurst, NY
Duration: 14 Weeks (Contract)
Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Schedule: 3 days/week (34.5 hours)
Pay Rate: $50 – $58/hour

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced Med/Surg unit. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care, supporting post-operative recovery, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Provide direct bedside care to medical and post-surgical patients
• Administer and document medications as prescribed
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, IV insertion, and catheterization
• Monitor vital signs and patient conditions; report changes promptly
• Operate and monitor medical equipment as required
• Support discharge planning and continuity of care
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Follow established nursing standards, protocols, and best practices

Qualifications

Required:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Active NY State RN License
• AHA BLS Certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience (within the past year)
• Strong skills in patient assessment, medication administration, IV therapy, wound care, and post-operative care

Preferred:

• AHA ACLS Certification
• Experience with EPIC EMR
