Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – LTC House Supervisor
Location: Newark, NY
Shift: Night Shift (Combination Schedule – 36 Hours/Week)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – LTC House Supervisor to oversee nursing operations during off-shifts in a long-term care setting. The role requires strong leadership, clinical expertise, and the ability to manage staff, patient flow, and critical situations across multiple units.
Shift Details:
- Total Hours: 36 hours/week
- Combination of shifts:
- 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (8 hours)
- 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (8 hours)
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12 hours)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate nursing care across all units
- Serve as a clinical resource for staff and problem-solving
- Oversee patient flow and admissions during off-shifts
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to nursing staff
- Manage emergency situations and code responses
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards
- Handle incident reporting, risk management, and documentation
- Support staffing coordination and productivity standards
Required Qualifications:
- Active RN License (state-specific as applicable)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Previous Charge or Supervisor experience required
- Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
- Experience with EPIC EMR system
Required Certifications:
- BLS (AHA)
Clinical Skills Required:
- Code management and emergency response
- De-escalation and behavioral management
- Infection control and isolation procedures
- IV therapy and PICC line management
- Knowledge of regulatory standards (DPH, TJC, OSHA)
- Incident reporting and risk management
- Staffing coordination and performance management
