Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is a qualified and dedicated Registered Dietitian (RD) to support a multidisciplinary healthcare team in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will deliver comprehensive nutritional care to adult patients across medical, surgical, and ICU units, utilizing evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ nutritional needs and develop individualized care plans
- Provide medical nutrition therapy across medical, surgical, and ICU populations
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust nutrition plans as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and families on nutrition, diet plans, and disease management
- Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC EMR system
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care planning meetings
- Support quality improvement initiatives related to nutrition services
- Float to other units as required based on facility needs
Required Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian (RD) credential
- Active South Carolina Dietetics License
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in acute care settings (medical, surgical, ICU)
- Open to first-time travelers with relevant experience
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy and clinical dietetics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
