Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) – School Setting
Location: Lompoc, CA
Job Type: Contract (11 Weeks)
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Shift: Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support students in a school-based setting. The RBT will work closely with educators and behavioral specialists to implement individualized behavior intervention plans and promote positive student outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with behavioral needs
- Collect and record accurate data on student progress and behaviors
- Assist in developing and reinforcing social, communication, and daily living skills
- Support classroom routines and help maintain a structured learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to ensure consistency in care
- Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all students
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding student progress and concerns
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification (required)
- Experience working with children in a school or behavioral health setting (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children’s development
Work Environment
- School-based setting with regular interaction with students and staff
- Structured weekday schedule with no weekends
