Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Inpatient & Outpatient Rehab for an exciting opportunity in Juneau, AK.
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans established by Physical Therapists
- Provide therapy interventions to patients across inpatient and outpatient settings
- Document treatment sessions, patient responses, and progress notes
- Assist with mobility training, adaptive equipment fitting, and functional exercises
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care coordination
- Support discharge planning and home exercise program education
- Ensure patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols
- Maintain therapy equipment, supplies, and treatment spaces
- Collaborate with providers, nurses, and rehabilitation team members
- Provide patient and caregiver education for home-based recovery
Requirements
- Associate Degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program required
- Active PTA license required
- BLS certification required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Acute care or outpatient rehabilitation experience preferred
- Experience with adaptive equipment and mobility training preferred
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and movement science
- Strong communication and interdisciplinary teamwork skills
- Documentation and EMR proficiency
- Ability to work in physically demanding clinical environments
