EEG Technician (Neuro Diagnostics) – Contract Role

Location: Syracuse, NY 13210

Assignment Details:

• Shift: Day (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)

• Schedule: 5x8-hour shifts/week

• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

• Duration: 13 Weeks

Compensation:

• Local: $2,000/week

• Travel: $2,334/week

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced EEG Technician to support a busy Neuro Diagnostics department. The role involves performing EEG studies for patients across all age groups in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine EEG studies following ASET guidelines

• Apply electrodes for adult and pediatric patients

• Analyze EEG waveforms and document findings

• Prepare and edit EEG data for physician interpretation

• Monitor and manage long-term (24-hour) EEG recordings

• Communicate effectively with patients and families

• Maintain EEG equipment and report any issues

• Ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

• Registered EEG Technologist (R.EEG T)

• Minimum 1 year of EEG experience

• Current BLS/CPR certification

• Strong computer skills

• Excellent communication and critical thinking abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU)
