EEG Technician (Contract)
Location: Syracuse, New York
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift & Schedule:
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 5 Days/Week | 8-hour shifts
- Every Other Weekend
- Total: 40 hours/week
Compensation:
- Local: $2,500/week
- Travel: Up to $3,054/week
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented EEG Technician to support neurological diagnostics in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The ideal candidate will have experience working with patients across all age groups, from neonatal to geriatric. Experience in an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine EEG procedures in accordance with ASET guidelines
- Accurately measure and apply electrodes for adult and pediatric patients
- Record, document, and prepare EEG data for physician interpretation
- Conduct preliminary descriptive analysis of EEG waveforms and patterns
- Edit and review long-term (24-hour) EEG recordings as needed
- Provide compassionate patient care and maintain clear communication with patients and families
- Ensure proper functioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of EEG equipment
- Maintain inventory and stock of EEG acquisition stations
- Document equipment usage and adhere to departmental protocols and compliance standards
Required Qualifications
- Registered EEG Technician (R. EEG T) – Required
- Minimum 1 year of EEG experience
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Strong computer proficiency and technical aptitude
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Ability to pass pre-employment health screening and compliance requirements
