Job Summary
The EEO Investigator is responsible for conducting investigations related to workplace discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) matters. This role supports compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws while ensuring fair and timely resolution of employee complaints.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct investigations involving workplace discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and related employee complaints.
- Interview complainants, witnesses, and management to gather relevant facts and evidence.
- Review documents, records, emails, and other materials related to investigations.
- Prepare detailed investigative reports, findings, and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local anti-discrimination laws and company policies.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters professionally.
- Collaborate with HR, Legal, and leadership teams regarding investigation outcomes and corrective actions.
- Assist with special projects and additional assignments as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required; JD preferred.
- 4 years of experience conducting EEO or workplace investigations.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment and anti-discrimination laws.
- Excellent analytical, investigative, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and neutrality.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare or corporate environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience handling discrimination and harassment investigations within healthcare or large organizational environments.
- Ability to synthesize complex information and provide clear recommendations.
- Experience working with diverse employee populations and cross-functional teams.
