Summary
You will serve as an Electronic Industrial Controls Mechanic in the Production Division, Public Works Department, of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.
Duties
You will determine the nature and scope of repairs required to restore electronically controlled industrial equipment to service.You will inspect systems, interpret gauge and meter readings, or recalibrate controls to maintain conditions or operation.You will perform operational test of electronically controlled industrial systems and components to determine functionality.You will analyze diagnostic test readings and operating conditions of electronically controlled industrial equipment to isolate system malfunctions.You will use signal generators and oscilloscopes to visually trace the progression of a signal.You will use test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, voltmeters, ohmmeters) to make repairs or adjustments to electronically controlled industrial equipment.
Qualifications

Subject to perform work in areas with high noise levels where ear protection is required. Working in very hot and cold environments, poorly ventilated and lighted areas is occasionally required and in some instances work in these conditions is for the duration of the shift. The incumbent may be exposed to fumes, dust, dirt, grease, and oil, and is subject to the possibility of scrapes, cuts, bruises, contusions, burns, electric shock, and eye hazards. PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ). To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation.
