You will serve as a Contract Specialist in the Procurement Group, Aircraft Support Contracts Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
Position Duties/Responsibilities
- You will plan and develop procurement objectives for the program in terms of competition and price range, contracts the contractual vehicle including use of pricing strategies, subcontracting policy, set-aside policies, and similar considerations.
- You will prepare and maintain current acquisition plans, appropriate milestone charts, and related schedules requiring review by the program manager.
- You will perform detailed cost and price analysis utilizing field pricing reports from Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and Defense Contracts Management Command (DCMC) and inputs from technical personnel to arrive at a fair and reasonable price.
- You will advise of the procurement objectives to be used and assist in the preparation of statements of work and source selection criteria.
- You will plan the negotiation strategy and coordination strategy with the negotiation team and lead the negotiations, which are conducted with contractors, to discuss technical deficiencies and cost issues.
- You will independently establish contract milestone schedules as well as execute the necessary planning, coordination, approval, negotiation and other requirements in accordance with prescribed deadlines.
