Duties

Help

  • You will have knowledge concerning the use of programs such as DPMAP and CONOPS (TAA) and Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
  • You will establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of internal and external personnel throughout the organization
  • You will identify and classify characteristics of pertinent depot level aerospace products, production methods and industrial processes and procedures used in overhaul, maintenance, modification and repair of aircraft and aircraft systems.
  • You will provide technical advice, expertise and assistance on all matters related to quality, including verification of products, auditing and investigations.
  • You will perform work document reviews to ensure documents are in compliance with quality standards

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.


Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) Planning, organizing, and directing the activities of assigned Industrial Quality Department Branch, ensuring that assigned branch complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs; 2) Identifying requirements and initiating requests for additional resources, including personnel, overtime, equipment, supplies, and space to ensure success in meeting goals and objectives; 3) Providing technical advice and assistance on all matters related to quality, including verification of material, products, processes, and documentation; 4) Evaluating performance of subordinates, giving instructions, providing advice, and counsel to subordinates on performance, technical, and administrative matters; 5) Resolving quality related issues and making sound managerial decisions assisting in the progression of successful aircraft, engines, and component programs.
