ACCOUNTANT

You will serve as an ACCOUNTANT in the Business & Financial Management Community (BFMC), Comptroller Group, Accounting Department, Accounting Operations Division (B821000), of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Qualifications:

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Executing, reviewing, and adjusting accounting transactions within the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system; 2) Analyzing, reconciling, and resolving complex accounting discrepancies, evaluating financial data accuracy, and implementing corrective actions to address adverse trends. 3) Conducting the day-to-day operations of cost accounting functions; 4) Actively making suggestions and recommendations to management based on financial data to improve systems and contribute to policy decisions; and 5) Reconciling transactions, records, and accounts, including conducting research to resolve any discrepancies.
