What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Advanced Wipe Technologies position at Nature Buff?
We are looking for a senior applied R&D/product development leader in the wipes, nonwovens, infection prevention, or advanced materials space for a highly specialized innovation initiative based around next-generation wipe technologies.
This is not a traditional corporate R&D role.
We are looking for someone who understands how chemistry, substrates, packaging, stability, manufacturing, regulatory realities, and commercialization all interact in real-world wipe systems.
Areas of interest include:
- disinfecting/sanitizing wipes
- nonwoven substrates
- fiber compatibility
- advanced packaging systems
- stability testing
- medical/infection prevention products
- sustainable material systems
- formulation/substrate interaction
The ideal person has experience solving difficult applied product problems — not just researching them academically.
Backgrounds of interest:
- wipes/nonwoven industry
- infection prevention
- medical wipes
- consumer healthcare
- advanced materials
- packaging engineering
- applied chemistry
- substrate engineering
Experience with EPA/FDA-regulated products, peroxide systems, HOCl systems, or advanced wipe technologies is highly relevant.
This role would work closely with experienced industry operators, external technical groups, and established laboratory infrastructure in the Orangeburg, NY area.
We are especially interested in people who:
- move quickly
- think experimentally
- are commercially grounded
- can bridge technical and operational realities
- have experience taking products from concept to scalable commercialization
This is a rare opportunity to work on potentially category-defining technology in a space that still has major unsolved problems.
