Open to applicants seeking temporary employment, summer, or full-time work - 1st or 2nd shift.
Role Summary/Purpose:
The Welder uses several short bursts of heat from equipment to create a temporary weld between two metal joints. It works through the same process as creating a full weld but is used only for temporary joints. Job responsibilities are not limited to tack welding.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Qualified as a tack welder
- Demonstration of the ability to safely use grinders and hand tool
- Tack welding of sub-assemblies
- Test products or subassemblies for functionality or quality
- Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products
- Build product subassemblies or final assemblies
- Prepare and assemble materials
- Set up and operate production equipment/tooling in accordance with current manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures
- Maintain accurate inventory of job materials
- Provide production, progress, or changeover reports to shift supervisors
- Set up and verify the functionality of safety equipment
- Start up and shut down processing equipment
- Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Clean production equipment or work areas
Qualifications/Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Skills/Qualifications: Documentation of welding Skills, Teamwork, Coordination, Organization, Planning, Time Management, Reporting Skills, Inventory Control, Data Entry Skills, Dependability, Basic understanding of welding processes.
