What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Supervisor position at Natural Gas Solutions North America LLC?
In this role, you will lead the hourly (union) Quality Inspection/Calibration Team for a $60mm/year, 350,000 sq.ft. manufacturing facility. Heading up a team of hourly employees, you will develop and implement processes/procedures for the Quality Team that will drive improvement in Quality that will have a direct impact on EHS, On Time Delivery, and Productivity. This role will also accelerate and support cultural change efforts that will develop/improve team performance.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Become the Customer Report Specialist at our facility. Learn how to produce and publish all customer reports.
- Motivate your team to achieve goals.
- Learn and employ Lean Manufacturing concepts in areas of responsibility.
- Partner with Sourcing and Planning in material reviews that anticipate and resolve material shortages.
- Technical support & inspection troubleshooting and coordination of component releases to production floor.
- Drive and influence change and build a high performing team
- Ability to learn and master software tools
- Administer and approve time and attendance for all employees in assigned work area
- Assist workers with questions they may have regarding inspection or interpretation of drawings.
- Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist team members in resolving work problems
- Read and understand inspection requirements and Inspection Instructions.
- Practice safe work habits to ensure an injury free environment
- Work with Training Coordinator to ensure, identify, and sustain all training records to be correct and properly maintained
- Lead and instruct on best inspection/calibration practices.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in manufacturing
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability and willingness to ensure supervision of the facility (weekends and holidays, as required)
