Human Resources Specialist

Natural Beauty Growers is a 100% employee-owned wholesale greenhouse company with a 21-acre facility in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. We currently have a great opportunity for a people-focused HR Specialist to join our team.

Our HR needs change with the seasons. From January through May, our busiest time of year, this position will typically work 30–40 hours per week, with a strong focus on recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and supporting our seasonal workforce.

During the summer and fall, our HR needs decrease, allowing for a more flexible, part-time schedule.

Interested in working full-time year-round? We are open to discussing a full-time position with someone who is willing to transition to responsibilities in other areas of the greenhouse during the slower HR season.

Responsibilities include:

· Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard employees, including higher volume seasonal hiring from January through May.

· Support supervisors and managers with employee relations.

· Use UKG UltiPro/UKG Ready to maintain employee records and process timecards.

· Maintain accurate and confidential HR records and documentation.

· Answer employee questions and provide support on routine HR matters.

· Assist with employee benefits and annual open enrollment.

· Partner with Corporate HR and the South Dakota Facility Manager on company policies, employment practices, and compliance.

· Provide additional administrative or operational support as needed.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is approachable, organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a hands-on environment.

Ideally, you will have:

· Previous HR experience and/or relevant education.

· Working knowledge of employment law and HR practices.

· Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

· Spanish-language skills are strongly preferred because the position regularly communicates with employees who speak both English and Spanish.

· The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information appropriately.

· A genuine interest in working directly with employees and supervisors/managers.

· Experience with high-volume or seasonal hiring is a plus.
