What are the responsibilities and job description for the BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & TRIBAL LIAISON position at Natsu Healthcare?
The Business Development and Tribal Liaison is responsible for assisting community and fundraising programs, ensuring the smooth flow of events and participants' engagement. The Business Development and Tribal Liaison will work with community agencies, humanitarian organizations, and other groups to promote and develop the target patient population’s welfare. This position will help facilitate press releases, assist in creating marketing materials, help facilitate initial contact with third-party vendors as well as new tribal contacts and help negotiate potential partnerships, develop event schedules, and recruit volunteers as needed. The Business Development and Tribal Liaison will also plan activities, monitor expenses, and request financial support from sponsorships and donation programs.
Responsibilities:
- Help grow partnerships with Native/Alaskan American tribes who need our behavioral health services by identifying specific tribe(s) with whom we can work with to promote our services.
- Foster relationships with Tribal Organizations (behavioral health facilities, RTC programs, and health clinics).
- Build relationships with Urban Indian Centers both for profit and non-profit Native organizations.
- Establish relationships with Community Colleges, organizations, and institutions for collaboration and business development purposes.
- Stay current with local and national native events, seminars, and trainings.
- Have a good understanding of tribal government and business.
- Analyze new business opportunities, attract new clientele, penetrate, and create new markets.
- Register and attend all behavioral Health Conferences that align with the organizational mission.
- Participate in community panels, meetings, and roundtables.
- Conduct outbound prospecting for new facilities/organizations business entities to draw more business/referrals.
- Establish weekly, monthly, and yearly outreach goals regarding referrals, events, and partnerships with tribal and non-tribal entities.
- At the beginning of each physical year (Oct -Oct) create a yearly outreach and partnership recruiting plan that will include market analysis/research identifying who to partner with, competitors, industry changes or highlights, potential events specific to Native/Alaskan Americans, behavioral health related events/fairs that outreach should participate in
- Input all referrals into CRM (Customer Relationship Management) following any event and/or when a referral is received and email referrals to intake email so admissions can; call, email and establish contact.
- Weekly reports including weekly activity; prospecting, referrals and events attended.
- After each event attended produce an after-action report including the number of referrals acquired, contacts made and info regarding the effectiveness of the event for later reference.
- Suggest and implement improvements in the outreach process.
- Participate and supervise the delivery of all outreach activities related to the organization.
- Develop and maintain new and existing referral relationships within the community.
- Coordinate to ensure outreach and marketing trends and strategies are effective.
- Ensure that all referrals are contacted promptly and assist if asked to acquire admissions documents.
- Securing working partnerships with outside community partners.
- Manage any volunteers for events or outreach activities and request the necessary permissions for volunteer help.
- Help with marketing materials, swag, flyers, and social media messages.
- Coordinate with directors regarding any press release or media event to ensure the correct message is being presented.
- Help with Clinic marketing and outreach and help develop of new services or expand existing services.
- Help review best practices relative to screening, assessment, and referrals to help admissions continue to grow.
- Responsible for generating new client referrals.
- Responsible for utilizing new and existing relationships to achieve lead generation activity and standards and performance goals.
- Promotes Natsu Healthcare at every event attended as well as its other departments. WS, WH, OP, Optometry etc.
- Work with clinic administrator to monitor and manage daily and monthly lead generation activities, statistics, and reports.

Schedule:
Monday to Friday 40/hrs. per week.
Occasional evening and weekends may be necessary.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, relevant professional experience.
Experience:
- Business development: 1 year (Preferred)
- Behavioral health: 1 year (Preferred)
