Job Description: Summary of Position

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Order Picker to join our warehouse team. The primary responsibility of this role is to locate, retrieve, and prepare products from a warehouse for shipment. This position is essential to ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the ERP/MRP system to analyze demand and generate manufacturing work orders.
• Plan, schedule, and monitor the production workflow to meet internal financial targets and customer delivery dates.
• Coordinate the flow of materials and components to support production schedules.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and maintain schedule integrity.
• Communicate any schedule changes or delays to the sales team and other stakeholders.
• Interact regularly with manufacturing teams to track progress, identify bottlenecks, and address inefficiencies.
• Develop and maintain production, work, and shipping schedules; prioritize work orders for optimal workflow.
• Analyze production data and inventory levels to forecast material needs and prevent shortages or overages.
• Support purchasing efforts when necessary, especially in resolving material shortages.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and operational efficiency.
• Provide regular reporting on work-in-process (WIP), production status, and inventory to support decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and training requirements related to ERP/MRP use and manufacturing processes.
  
  

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of production and processing, including raw materials, manufacturing processes, quality control, and cost analysis.
• Proven experience working with ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret production data and make actionable recommendations.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environments.
• Familiarity with inventory management principles and practices.
• Background in a technical or engineered product manufacturing environment is a plus.
