Duties
- Assist in food preparation by chopping, slicing, marinating, and assembling ingredients according to recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
- Support cooking processes by monitoring temperatures, timing dishes, and assisting chefs during meal assembly
- Handle food handling tasks responsibly, including proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients
- Buss tables and clear dining areas efficiently to support smooth restaurant operations
- Assist with banquet setups and service during special events or large gatherings
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure timely delivery of orders
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, food preparation techniques, and food safety standards
- Experience with banquet service, bussing, or hotel food service is a plus
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and staff
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and enthusiasm
- Culinary experience or training is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
