Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Instructs students in specialized educational programs by lecturing in a classroom and/or learning management system (LMS) and developing and providing individual instruction as required
- Seeks, selects and uses resources compatible with student/program needs
- Assesses and documents attainment of program objectives
- Other duties as assigned
Required skills/abilities:
- Knowledge of subject matter being taught
- Knowledge of educational planning and teaching techniques
- Knowledge of learning aids and teaching materials appropriate to the subject matter
- Ability to develop and teach students based on assessments and evaluation
- Ability to evaluate progress and revise lesson plans as needed
- Ability to provide advice and guidance relative to the education of the student
Education and Experience:
- A Master's degree is required with 18 graduate hours in History is required
- Experience teaching History courses at the post-secondary level
- Experience teaching in the classroom and online or through a learning management system (LMS) is preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged sitting and standing
- Extensive walking
- Prolonged screen time
- Ability to lift 30 lbs
