National Management Resources (NMR) has provided facilities management services for more than 40 years. We serve educational environments across the country, including K-12 schools, colleges, and universities.

We are seeking an experienced Groundskeeper who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining attractive, safe, and welcoming grounds. This position plays an important role in creating a positive campus environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3pm

What You'll Do

As a Groundskeeper, you will be responsible for the daily care and maintenance of campus grounds, landscaping, athletic fields, and outdoor common areas. This is an active, hands-on position that offers variety throughout the year and the opportunity to work independently while supporting the overall campus environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Mowing
• Weed trimming
• Sidewalk edging
• Planting flowers
• Trimming bushes
• Mulching
• Trimming trees
• Leaf removal
• Snow removal
• Perform other duties as assigned

We are looking for someone with:

• Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, horticulture, or related experience preferred - willing to train the right candidate
• A strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently and manage daily tasks effectively.
• A commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
• The ability to safely operate groundskeeping equipment and tools.
• A professional and service-oriented approach when interacting with campus personnel, students, and visitors.
• A valid driver's license.
• The ability to work in changing weather and seasonal conditions.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

This position is active and requires the ability to safely perform a variety of physical tasks throughout the workday. The successful candidate must be able to:

• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Work from ladders and safely access elevated areas.
• Climb stairs and navigate campus buildings and grounds.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Bend, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as needed to perform groundskeeping tasks.
• Work outdoors for extended periods.
• Work in varying temperatures and weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
• Safely operate hand tools, power equipment, mowers, blowers, snow-removal equipment, and other groundskeeping equipment.
