Position Overview
National Cortina, Borgese National USA Corp, and One Frozen are seeking a Business Development Manager or Director to drive strategic growth initiatives across our bakery and baked-goods portfolio. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and expanding new business opportunities with retail, foodservice, and strategic partners, with a strong emphasis on bakery, frozen bakery, and value-added baked solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and execute new business opportunities within the bakery and baked-goods category
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of prospective customers and strategic partners
- Lead end-to-end business development efforts, including prospecting, presentations, negotiations, and contract execution
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Culinary, Operations, Supply Chain, and Marketing
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings
- Develop pricing strategies, volume forecasts, and growth plans aligned with company objectives
Director-Level Scope
- Provide strategic leadership and mentorship across commercial initiatives
- Contribute to long-term growth strategy and portfolio expansion
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Strong background in bakery, frozen bakery, or baked-goods commercialization highly preferred
- Proven experience in business development or commercial strategy
- Existing relationships within retail, foodservice, or CPG bakery channels strongly preferred
- Willingness to travel approximately 30–50%
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
This position is primarily office-based with regular travel required for customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events. The employee may be required to sit or stand for extended periods, communicate verbally and in writing, and occasionally lift or move materials up to 25 pounds. Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
