Duties
- Provide overall strategic direction and leadership to achieve organizational goals and objectives
- Oversee daily operations ensuring efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management
- Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with organizational mission and vision
- Lead business development efforts to expand organizational reach and impact
- Manage senior leadership team, fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement
- Negotiate contracts, partnerships, and funding opportunities to support organizational growth
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and funding requirements
- Represent the organization at public events, industry conferences, and community engagements
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation in collaboration with finance teams
- Travel to additional MBDC locations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in management with a strong background in strategic planning and operations management
- Grant writing experience is key to this role
- Demonstrated leadership in senior roles within similar organizations or industries
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful business development
- Strong project management abilities with an emphasis on process improvement
- Ability to develop innovative solutions and lead change initiatives effectively
- Exceptional communication skills for engaging stakeholders at all levels
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- Experience in fostering team collaboration and building organizational culture focused on excellence and accountability
Pay: $90,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
