Position Summary
The Visitor Engagement Representative (VER) plays a key role in providing a memorable, welcoming, and educational experience for all visitors. Through superior customer service and proactive engagement, the VER connects visitors of all ages with the Center’s exhibitions and programs.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Greet visitors in a friendly, welcoming manner and provide assistance throughout the museum
- Facilitate general admission sales, memberships, group check-ins, and pass redemptions
- Provide information about admissions, programming, and memberships
- Orient groups upon arrival, including some time spent outdoors
- Assist visitors with issues such as lost items, first aid, and emergency procedures
- Engage diverse audiences in educational conversations
- Lead activities for school groups and public visitors of all ages
- Assist with minor event setup and breakdown
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of customer service experience
- Interest in American history and government
- Energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor
- Ability to work respectfully with diverse audiences
- Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
Physical Demands
- Extensive walking, stair climbing, and standing
- Occasional light lifting up to 20 pounds
