Position Summary
The Security Operations Manager is a key leadership role responsible for managing day-to-day security operations. This includes developing and enforcing policies and procedures, supervising security personnel, coordinating technology and emergency response protocols, and ensuring compliance across all sites. The ideal candidate is a proactive, strategic thinker with a strong background in security management and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols across all operational sites.
Team Management
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate security staff to ensure professionalism and high performance.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Monitor operations to ensure adherence to company standards, legal regulations, and industry best practices.
Risk Mitigation
- Conduct regular audits and security assessments to identify risks and implement corrective action plans.
Incident & Emergency Management
- Oversee access control, surveillance systems, and emergency response; ensure prompt and effective handling of all incidents.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with law enforcement, emergency responders, and external partners as needed.
Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare and present detailed reports on incidents, operational metrics, staffing, and emerging security concerns.
Technology & Innovation
- Stay current with advancements in security technology and recommend tools to improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in security management or operations leadership.
- Strong knowledge of modern security protocols, systems, and risk management strategies.
- Proven leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities, especially under pressure.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP, or similar) highly preferred.
