Duties
- Greet guests promptly with a friendly smile and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted and accommodated
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Upsell menu items by highlighting specials, wine pairings, or premium options to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns swiftly, and providing personalized service
- Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems like OpenTable and perform basic math for billing purposes
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, assist with bussing, and support food preparation or kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth operations
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for efficient order processing and billing
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests and create positive experiences
- Culinary experience or food handling knowledge to better understand menu items and food safety protocols
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours without compromising quality of service
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest engagement
- Familiarity with sanitation standards, food safety practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with bussing tables, hosting/hostess duties, or supporting kitchen staff is a plus
- Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy in fast-paced environments
- Strong communication skills combined with a hospitality mindset that emphasizes guest relations
