Location: Lincoln, CA
Pay starting at $28/hour mileage reimbursement
4–6 hour shifts available (morning, midday, evening, and weekends)
We are seeking a compassionate, experienced Direct Support Professional to support an adult female client in Lincoln, CA.
This is not a passive caregiving role. This position requires a confident, behaviorally trained professional who can provide structure, safety, and meaningful community engagement.
About the Client
She is outgoing, has an excellent memory, and enjoys animals, swimming, music, shopping, electronics, and being active in the community. She thrives on routine, benefits from visual supports and structured expectations, and uses an AAC device with prompting.
She requires:
- Consistent structure and predictable routines
- 2:1 support in community settings
- Behavioral support for OCD, elopement risk, and loud outbursts
- Support with hygiene, nutrition, and daily living skills
- A female caregiver (client preference)
- A calm, confident presence who can redirect behaviors in the moment
This role requires someone who understands how to balance what is important to her (routine, preferred activities, community access) and what is important for her (health, safety, boundaries, and skill development).
Qualifications (Required)
- RBT experience is a MUST
- Strong ABA and behavioral support background
- Experience supporting adults with high behavioral needs
- Female applicants only (client preference)
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean background check
- Reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
- Ability to remain calm during escalations
- Physically able to support community outings and transitions
Responsibilities
- Supporting structured community outings (parks, stores, recreation, volunteer settings)
- Implementing behavior plans with consistency
- Using AAC and visual systems
- Assisting with hygiene routines and health monitoring
- Supporting exercise and structured daily activities
- Reinforcing independence while maintaining safety
- Collaborating closely with family and care team
