The Nassau BOCES Department of Curriculum, Instruction and Technology is seeking a Program Specialist I for the Model Schools program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

The Nassau BOCES Department of Curriculum, Instruction and Technology is seeking a Program Specialist I for the Model Schools program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assisting Nassau BOCES component school districts in enhancing learning through improved integration of technology
- Enriching and supporting teaching and learning while strengthening the technology skills of students, teachers and staff
- Designing and delivering professional development workshops tailored to district needs
- Communicating with Nassau County school district technology directors and Assistant Superintendents to plan and deliver customized professional development to meet the needs of students
- Addressing changes and trends regarding the use of instructional technology
- New York State Education Department (NYSED) Professional Teacher Certification
- NYSED Certification: School District Leader (SDL) or School District Administrator (SDA)
- Three or more years of teaching experience with a NYSED Teacher Certification
- Knowledge of the New York State K-12 Computer Science and Digital Fluency Learning Standards
- Self-directed, organized and collaborative
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with component school districts
- Knowledge of and experience with instructional technology and applications
- Knowledge of state and federal laws surrounding student use of instructional technologies
- Ability to travel
