The Executive Manager provides high-level leadership and oversight for operational, fiscal, Human Resources and compliance functions within CIT. This role ensures that all services are supported by efficient systems, aligned with New York State Education Department (NYSED) regulations and Nassau BOCES procedures, and well-coordinated across account clerks, consultants and program staff. The Executive Manager provides high-level leadership and oversight for operational, fiscal, Human Resources and compliance functions within CIT. This role ensures that all services are supported by efficient systems, aligned with New York State Education Department (NYSED) regulations and Nassau BOCES procedures, and well-coordinated across account clerks, consultants and program staff. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Directing daily operations for division-wide processes, including approvals, registrations and documentation of workflows
- Supervising administrative and departmental staff and providing training and performance feedback
- Ensuring timely and accurate processing of forms, invoices, purchase orders and related operational documentation
- Coordinating all Request for Personnel (RFP) approvals, purchase orders, budget amendments and food service requests
- Supporting CoSer operations, including billing, state-aid eligibility, documentation and reporting workflows
- Acting as the liaison with the Business Office on account reconciliation, budget coding and financial reporting to maintain fiscal accuracy and compliance
- Streamlining and monitoring operational systems to improve efficiency and service quality
- Managing Frontline Professional Growth approvals and Frontline Web Registration setup and maintenance
- Collaborating with Human Resources on contracts, renewals and compliance matters
- Supporting Substantial Equivalency Reviews through data collection, records management and documentation processes
- Assisting with regulatory and program audits, including NYSED-mandated reviews and reporting
- Monitoring contract terms to ensure alignment with board policies, legal requirements, and that all vendor and service delivery compliance documentation is complete, accurate and up to date
- Serving as the primary contact for operational inquiries from program coordinators and consultants
- Providing regular updates to the Associate Director on operational metrics, emerging issues and resource needs
- Developing and maintaining clear communication protocols with districts, internal departments, vendors and other partners
- NYSED Certification: School District Leader (SDL) or School District Administrator (SDA) and School Building Leader (SBL) or School Building Administrator (SBA)
- Three or more years of administrative central/district office experience
- Exceptional leadership qualities and the ability to develop and sustain strong relationships with component school districts and statewide leaders
- Ability to provide instructional leadership, supervision and direction
- Ability to create and execute effective professional development and training
- Strong collaboration, planning, administration and communication skills are essential
