This position is a non-competitive Civil Service position.
Description
Nassau BOCES is seeking Teacher Aides for various programs across the Department of Special Education. Substitute positions are available. Responsibilities include supporting the teacher in implementing specialized programs to meet individual student goals and needs. Provide instructional support, classroom organization, data collection, and assist in all tasks of daily living and behavior modification. Daily living skills may include feeding, toileting, mobility, etc.
Requirements
High school diploma. Experience with students with disabilities is highly desired.
SALARY: As per contract.
