As Director of Nursing, you will oversee the entire nursing department and ensure outstanding clinical care and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities Include
- Managing and supporting the nursing team and staffing levels
- Recruiting, hiring, and mentoring nurses and clinical staff
- Ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate, high-quality care
- Developing nursing policies and clinical procedures
- Leading staff education and in-services
- Coordinating with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Supporting MDS and care planning processes
- Participating in Quality Assurance and performance improvement initiatives
- Preparing for and assisting with state surveys
- Managing department operations, reporting, and budgets
- Providing clinical support and leadership on the floor when needed
- Active California RN license in good standing
- BSN preferred
- 7 years of nurse management experience preferred
- Skilled nursing facility experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and survey readiness
- Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
