Job Summary
Job Summary
Serves as a fully qualified teacher in a middle or secondary grade setting, teaching multiple subjects within community-based alternative education environment and/or juvenile correctional facility. Employs a range of strategies to deliver academically challenging instruction while addressing the social/emotional growth of the child. Experience and/or willingness to train in mindfulness and restorative practices.
Requirements / Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Requires a multiple or single subject credential with NCLB compliance as teachers teach more than one subject.
• Must have expertise in positive behavioral interventions; must possess the self-awareness, insight and compassion to respond appropriately to student behaviors.
• Requires the ability to integrate instructional technology into the classroom environment to achieve a blended learning environment
• Requires a valid driver’s license
