Part-Time Housekeeper (Child-Friendly Home)

Our company is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Housekeeper for one of our families in Winter Garden, FL. This is primarily a housekeeping role; however, the position is within a home with children. The family is specifically seeking someone who is comfortable, trustworthy, and safe around children, which is why prior childcare experience is required, even though childcare duties are not the primary focus of this role.

This role is ideal for someone with a background in housekeeping, nannying, or household management, and there may be opportunities for additional hours through our agency for candidates interested in expanding their schedule.

Schedule:

• 2 weekdays per week
• Days are flexible, but must be weekdays
• Work hours must fall between 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Approximately 3 hours per day, with potential to increase to ~4 hours per day
• Days must be spaced out with 2 days in between
• Examples: Monday & Thursday or Tuesday & Friday

Responsibilities Include:

• Family laundry (parents & children): washing, folding, and putting away
• Changing bed linens and making beds (parents & children, rotational basis)
• Tidying children’s bedrooms, play areas, and common spaces
• Washing dishes and loading/unloading the dishwasher
• Taking out trash and recycling
• Reducing clutter in visible, high-traffic areas
• Leaving the kitchen clean and organized (clear counters, wiped surfaces)
• Very light and simple food prep for dinner, as needed
• Fluffing pillows, folding blankets, and maintaining an inviting home environment
• Assisting with organizing and effective use of storage bins; ability to suggest simple organization solutions is a plus

Required Qualifications:

• At least 2–3 years of professional childcare experience
• CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start date)
• Clean background check and driving record
• Reliable, insured transportation
• Strong communication skills and professionalism
• Ability to provide 2–3 professional childcare references (not family or friends)
• Ability to provide 2 or more professional housekeeping/cleaning references (not family or friends)
