Brief Job Description:
NAFI Rhode Island is seeking an energetic and dynamic Clinical Therapist for our Oakland Beach therapeutic group home in Warwick. As part of the team, you'll gain valuable experience by providing integrated mental health and therapeutic services to up to 8 adolescent males as they work toward permanency.
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide individual and family therapy to program residents
- Participate in treatment planning and implementation
- Facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic groups
- Collaborate as part of each child’s multidisciplinary treatment team
- Advocate for youth within the court system, probation, and/or DCYF
- Provide crisis intervention and clinical assessment as needed
- Complete required clinical documentation in a timely manner
- Participate in administrative, collateral, and team meetings
- Participate in a clinical on-call rotation
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in a Human Services field, such as counseling or social work
- Knowledge of residential programming, including best practices for treatment
- Understanding of adolescent development and behavior
- Excellent communication skills for effective engagement with residents, families, and stakeholders
- Crisis Management skills and intervention
- Problem-solving skills, with an ability to work both collaboratively and independently
- Time management and ability to be flexible to meet program needs
