What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance Officer (Bilingual in Spanish) position at NAFI Connecticut / Rhode Island / New York?
NAFI Connecticut provides programs, consultation, and support services in a variety of settings across Connecticut, New York, and Rhode Island. We work with adults, children, and families to increase communication and social skills, improve relationships, increase circles of support, and provide therapeutic services based on best-practice research. We are currently exploring candidates for a dedicated Compliance Officer to join our dedicated teen girls shelter located in Litchfield, Connecticut. NAFI’s shelter program provides assessment, education, individual, group, and family therapy to teen girls ages 13-17. The qualified candidate will be responsible for the program’s compliance with accrediting and licensing entities, as well as requirements by the program’s funder.

Compliance Officer Duties:
- Documentation: Ensuring accurate and timely documentation. Responsible for auditing staff’s documentation.
- Training and Development: Providing training and ongoing support to staff members to enhance their skills and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Collaboration: Develop relationships with community providers; strong collaboration with other grassroots and community organizations.
- Quality Assurance: Conducting regular reviews of staff documentation, data, and productivity standards.
- Administrative Tasks: Performing administrative duties such as ordering materials, documentation related to the position, and staff training.
- Schedule: This position is in person and requires flexibility.
- Candidate must be bilingual – Spanish/English
Skills/Qualifications:
- Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, social work, or a related field
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience with electronic health records.
- At least one year of experience working within a behavioral health/child welfare system.
- Experience with quality assurance and compliance.
