Job Details – Travel RN Case Manager (Pediatrics)
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Specialty: Pediatric Case Management
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: August 10, 2026
Shift: Days – 5x8s (Typically Monday–Friday; shift times between 7:00 AM–5:00 PM)
Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient discharge planning and transitions of care.
- Complete comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Perform utilization review and determine medical necessity using evidence-based guidelines.
- Coordinate durable medical equipment (DME), home health services, and community resources.
- Obtain prior authorizations and complete continued stay reviews.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, social workers, therapists, and ancillary departments.
- Ensure compliance with CMS regulations, HIPAA, Joint Commission standards, and hospital policies.
- Document all case management activities accurately in Epic.
- Float within Case Management services as needed to support patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Active Alaska RN License (required prior to offer).
- Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care hospital experience.
- Pediatric and/or NICU case management experience required.
- Epic EMR experience required.
- Strong discharge planning and care coordination experience.
- First-time travelers accepted.
