What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credit Analyst position at N.F. Smith & Associates, L.P.?
We are looking for a professional Credit Analyst to determine our customers’ creditworthiness. You will analyze financial data to assess the likelihood of a customer honoring their financial obligations. This position will report directly to the Director of Credit. Responsibilities Review financial transactions (applications, statements, balance sheets, legal documents, etc) and credit history on a case-by-case basis to determine the level of risk Calculate ratios and conduct analysis to identify trends and develop accurate financial projections Create reports reflective of credit risk in a clear, concise and effective way Monitor customer accounts regularly to ensure risk mitigation and compliance with legal requirements Follow established credit policies, procedures and best practices consistently Retrieve, enter, update and audit information for credit applications Work closely with Account Representatives to keep accounts in good standing and resolve discrepancies Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis Conduct onboarding background checks for potential customers (review locations, entities, restricted parties, etc) Requirements 5 years as a Credit Analyst or a similar role Bachelor’s in accounting or finance; or equivalent experience in credit evaluation and financial analysis Ability to analyze financial statements, cash flow reports, leverage, collateral and overall customer financial strength Strong analytical thinking, communication skills and sound professional judgement Hours: 8:00 - 5:00 Fully in office located at: 5306 Hollister Street Houston TX 77040 Smith is an equal opportunity employer #LI-LD1 We are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
