Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, standards-aligned History instruction to students in Grades 1–6
- Design and implement assessments to monitor student progress and inform instruction
- Use data to differentiate instruction and ensure mastery of content
- Collaborate with grade-level and subject-area teams to align curriculum and share best practices
- Establish and maintain a structured, supportive classroom environment with clear academic and behavioral expectations
- Foster a growth mindset and take ownership of student learning outcomes
- Communicate effectively and professionally with students, families, and colleagues
- Participate in a three-week summer orientation and ongoing professional development throughout the school year
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in History or a related field preferred
- Demonstrated success in driving student achievement and improving outcomes
- Strong content knowledge and enthusiasm for History
- Reflective practitioner with a growth mindset and openness to feedback and coaching
- Strong collaboration skills and a team-oriented approach
- Commitment to a high-expectation culture and extended day/year model
