Development Coordinator
As the Development Coordinator, you will be planning, organizing, and performing a variety of activities designed to support the work of the Development Department by increasing revenue and awareness of MVES programs and services.
Schedule: This is a full-time, non-exempt (35 hour/week) position. We offer a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office) once training is complete. No weekends.

Job Activities
Key activities of the position are below. Additional duties may be assigned as required.
Top Key Activities:
- Maintain and manage the Development Department's donor and donor prospect database and related donor and donor prospect correspondence. This includes maintaining and updating all data entry, ensuring data integrity, and producing required reports.
- Produce regular presentations on donor activities, events, and overall fundraising activities for Director of Development and Management team,
- Coordinate the Development Department's quarterly donor and prospect direct mail and e-mail appeals. Work with the Marketing and Communications Program Administrator to maintain and expand e-newsletter mailing list and help with content for and sending of regular e-newsletter.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute event logistics within a budget from inception to successful completion. Work with Director of Development and the Marketing and Communications Program Administrator to draft publicity for events, including flyers, social media posts, and presentations.
- Manage the Emergency Closet. Organize, monitor, and track items to ensure availability of donations to support consumer needs. Maintain list of needed items to be shared with donors, the public, and other partner organizations through "Amazon Wish List" and other outreach opportunities
Other Activities:
- Attend outreach committee meetings and coordinate ordering of giveaway items for outreach events.
- Provide general administrative support to the Director of Development including but not limited to data entry, word processing/mail merge, social media posting, faxing, photocopying, filing, and assisting with mailing projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree with at least two years of relevant experience or Associates degree with 7 years of relevant experience
- Experience working in a non-profit fundraising environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing administrative tasks related to events and programs
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and meet high expectations while also working as part of a team
- Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and able to prioritize
- Ability to manage a variety of tasks and projects simultaneously and effectively
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, especially Word and Excel. Experience using WordPress, Canva, and/or Salesforce preferred
- Ability and willingness to learn new systems, skills, and software
