What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguard position at Myrtue Medical Center?
SCHEDULE: Schedule varies Sunday through Saturday
Responsible for those using the Petersen Family Wellness Center and Lewis Family Aquatic Center. Prevent and respond to emergencies. Enforce rules and regulations of the Aquatic Center.
Shallow water lifeguard certification required. Shallow water lifeguard certification available.
Is aware of proper equipment usage and operation including safety precautions and ensures that participants follow such usage and operation. Provides information about the Aquatic Center facility and Fitness Center services. Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the Aquatic Center. Obtains CPR certification and re-certifies every two years. Reports all safety hazards, accidents and guest/patient incidents promptly and according to policy/procedure.
