SCHEDULE: Full-time; 40 hours per week; Exempt; On-site position
The Information Systems Director oversees the Information System Department, systems and security, and also collaborates closely with other departments to understand requirements, needs and preferences and will implement and support these systems accordingly. The IS Director also regularly scans and evaluates the organization's current systems to find any risks, vulnerabilities and improvement opportunities. The IS Director provides leadership in planning and managing all computer and technology related services and production support, systems and database administration, network operations, interfaces, system maintenance and recovery, back-up, security, new system implementations, desktop support and customer service across the health system. The IS Director will lead staff in a manner that is consistent with MMC's Core Values and will create an environment of trust, high performance and continuous improvement.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, computer information systems or related field required; Masters degree preferred. Experience in cybersecurity preferred. Three years experience in healthcare Information Systems management is strongly preferred, but experience in a service industry will be considered. Strong information systems management skills; strong interpersonal communications skills, computer hardware assembly and maintenance, software installation, training and maintenance, computer/network equipment evaluation and acquisition skills, network installation and maintenance skills, system analysis and programming skills desirable.
Works with the CIO to strategize, manage, integrate and coordinate the overall IS direction and strategy. Establishes and maintains a service-oriented, customer-focused IS function that supports ongoing operations that drive efficiency, quality and customer services. Frequently works with diverse groups of individuals with varying expertise and different needs that will require strong interpersonal skills and technical competence. Maintains data security infrastructure throughout Myrtue campus and satellites. Directs supervisory responsibility for Information Systems department. Directs the IT strategy, infrastructure, development and support within the organization. Performs routine system audits and annual risk assessments and implements action plans. Maximizes staff performance and technical expertise through clearly defined objectives, training, skill development and performance evaluation. Will participate in on-call rotation to cover after hours support and report to work as directed in response to an emergency event. Trouble-shoot and problem solve hardware and software problems by analyzing, notifying and working with vendor partners, providers and staff. Note: This is a partial list of key job areas.
