What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fitness Center Facility Assistant position at Myrtue Medical Center?
SCHEDULE: Full-time; 36 hours per week; Thursday - Monday
Effectively assists in the development, revision, implementation and communication of goals, policies, guidelines and standards for the Fitness Center in accordance with Medical Center policies, objectives and standards; all under the direction of the Wellness Center Director. Ensures the general appearance of the facility and equipment are clean and in good working order. Successful completion of work on a regular basis would result in a clean, safe and attractive environment that is conducive to patient recovery and the satisfaction of guests at the Fitness Center.
High school diploma or equivalent. Must be 18 years or older. Training and experience not required. Knowledge of equipment beneficial. Supervision of staff is preferred. Must know how to care for equipment, how to measure cleaning solutions, and be alert to hazards. Use of common household cleaning devices preferred.
Assists the Director in developing objectives for the Fitness Center on a regular basis, and helps ensure there is sufficient staff scheduled to perform the duties and responsibilities of the Fitness Center. Maintains departmental facilities and equipment in a safe and proper condition, which promotes efficiency, health and comfort for Fitness Center members and staff. Continually observes staff members in the performance of their duties to evaluate efficiency and can contribute to performance appraisals in a timely manner, when requested. Assists with the set-up and review of new hire staffing needs and the hiring process. Cleans all equipment on a regular basis and keeps the general appearance of the Fitness Center clean and neat.
