We are seeking a seasoned Construction Professional with years of industry experience to join our dynamic architectural and interior design firm. The ideal candidate will be a complimentary addition to our construction administration team ensuring that designs are executed in accordance with the contract documents and our client’s requirements. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project Leadership: Contribute to all phases of architectural projects, including quality control and constructability review of design development / construction documents, and the lead role of project construction administration services.
- Client Collaboration: Interface with clients and consultants during the construction phase providing design team leadership.
- Team Coordination: Collaborate with our architectural / interior design and consultant teams to achieve coordinated design solutions and ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Construction Oversight: Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, ensuring compliance with contract documents, quality standards, and building codes.
- Building Information Systems Coordination: Maintain the project BIM model during the construction phase as needed to provide as-built documentation.
- Regulatory Compliance: Review construction documents, technical specifications and construction phase submittals to ensure adherence to relevant regulations and standards.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- College degree in an architectural, engineering, or building construction related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of direct experience in construction documentation and contract administration.
- Proficiency in architectural design software, including Revit, and construction administration software platforms.
- Strong understanding of building codes and commercial construction methods.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed for construction phase services; requests for overnight travel are rare.
