Overview Description
The Part-Time Payroll Administrator supports the firm’s payroll services by assisting with the accurate and timely processing of client payroll. This role focuses on entering payroll data, maintaining payroll records, and supporting compliance with payroll regulations and reporting requirements.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys detail-oriented work, working with numbers and records, and supporting a team responsible for payroll accuracy and compliance. This position requires high attention to detail, reliability, and strong discretion when handling sensitive data.
Duties Include but Not Limited To
- Enter employee payroll data into payroll software systems
- Assist with the preparation and processing of payroll for multiple client accounts
- Review payroll information for accuracy prior to processing
- Enter and verify employee hours, wage rates, and payroll adjustments
- Assist with payroll-related recordkeeping and documentation and setup
- Maintain organized payroll files and digital records
- Assist with tracking payroll deadlines and processing schedules
- Support payroll tax and reporting documentation under supervision
- Communicate with team and clients regarding notices, payroll corrections or missing information
- Assist with maintaining payroll compliance documentation for client accounts
- Support preparation of payroll reports and summaries for internal review
- Provide front office support, including answering phones, directing inquiries, and assisting with general administrative office coordination and clerical tasks

Key Skillsets
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy

- Familiarity with payroll software platforms (such as ADP, XERO, Paychex, or similar systems)
- Ability to maintain organized payroll records and documentation
- Proficiency with spreadsheets such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
- Ability to manage deadlines and recurring payroll schedules
- Strong understanding of confidentiality when handling payroll and employee information
