About the Opportunity
MUVIQ USA is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Materials Planner to join our manufacturing team in Springdale, Arkansas.
This position will play a key role in maintaining accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), coordinating engineering changes, and supporting material planning and inventory management activities to ensure efficient manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with BOM setup and maintenance, Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), along with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, ERP/MRP systems, and material planning.
We are looking for a collaborative professional who enjoys solving problems, working across departments, and contributing to continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and update Bills of Materials (BOMs), ensuring accuracy and alignment with engineering specifications and production requirements.
- Manage and coordinate Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), ensuring accurate documentation and timely implementation of approved changes.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and suppliers to ensure BOM accuracy and proper implementation of engineering changes.
- Identify and resolve BOM discrepancies and material-related issues that may affect production schedules or inventory accuracy.
- Analyze material requirements, inventory levels, and customer demand to support production schedules and inventory objectives.
- Coordinate material availability, purchasing requirements, and delivery schedules to minimize production disruptions.
- Communicate engineering changes, updated specifications, and drawing revisions to suppliers.
- Support supplier performance monitoring, cost-reduction initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.
- Assist with purchasing activities, tooling coordination, and supplier-related documentation as needed.
- Maintain accurate material master data and support compliance with applicable quality standards and customer requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with BOM creation, setup, and ongoing maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).
- Working knowledge of material planning, inventory management, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems and maintaining accurate material master data.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering, Purchasing, Production, and external suppliers.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with die-cast, plastic-molded, and screw-machined components.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical specifications.
- Experience with supplier coordination, purchasing processes, and material cost analysis.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience supporting supplier relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing-related software applications.
