American Tubing International (ATI) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Planner to join our team in Springdale, Arkansas.
The Material Planner will be responsible for ensuring materials are available to meet production schedules and customer demand. This position will work closely with Purchasing, Production, Warehouse, and suppliers to monitor inventory, manage purchase orders, and help prevent material shortages.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze material shortages and develop purchasing plans based on production needs.
- Create, release, and maintain purchase orders in the ERP system.
- Monitor purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Work closely with Production, Warehouse, and suppliers to resolve material shortages and supply issues.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels and support material requirements planning (MRP).
- Prepare and maintain reports related to inventory, material shortages, and supplier performance.
- Support daily material planning activities to keep production running efficiently.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field required.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with multiple departments.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Bilingual in English and Chinese preferred, but not required.
Position Details
- Full-time, salaried position
- Annual salary: $60,000
- Reports to: Purchasing Manager
- Primarily office-based within a manufacturing facility, with occasional visits to production and warehouse areas.
